Bio
Malcolm joined SAE Glasgow in 2019 as a student, with already a bit of experience working on his own bedroom projects where he learned the basics of audio engineering by himself with a taste for DIY. Studying at SAE allowed him to consolidate his knowledge as well as sharpening his skills, be in the right mindset and develop his work ethic further.
After obtaining his BA (Hons) in Audio Production in 2021 through a well-received Major Project, it served as a showreel piece for future clients, which also showcased his extensive knowledge of ‘Extreme Music’. Malcolm carried on doing freelance work as well as experimenting with different things in the studio (the weirder, the better) in his spare time.
Less than a year after graduating, Malcolm joined the team at the SAE Glasgow campus as a Campus Support Technician, working alongside his former classmate Marie Wahrn. Outside of SAE, Malcolm works as a freelance recording, mixing and mastering engineer and producer with a focus on the ‘Alternative’ and ‘Extreme Music’ genres that are out there. This is supported by a passion for DIY, such as building guitar pedals.
