How to apply

You can apply to study at SAE in two ways, either directly via the website or via UCAS (Universities and Colleges Admissions Service). See the information below to choose the best application method for you.
Applying directly to SAE is easy. Simply visit our online application page and submit your application, which will take approximately 15 minutes.
Applying Direct In order to speed up your application, please ensure that you submit all relevant documentation using the upload functionality. This documentation includes photographic identification, your personal statement and evidence of any qualifications you currently hold.
WHAT HAPPENS AFTER I APPLY DIRECTLY? We will review your application as quickly as possible. If you have demonstrated your suitability for the course, we’ll make you an Offer of Study (conditional or unconditional), or we will work with you to provide anything further that is needed.
OFFER OF STUDY You received an Offer to Study from us? Congratulations! All you need to do now is formally accept it in order to secure your place on the course. How you accept your offer depends on if it is conditional or unconditional:
UNCONDITIONAL Upon receipt of an unconditional offer to study, all you need to do is sign and return the Acceptance Form which will be sent along with your Letter of Offer, emailed to you by the SAE Admissions Team.
CONDITIONAL If you receive a conditional offer to study, make sure to carefully read through your offer conditions and supply us with the outstanding documents as soon as possible. A member of our Recruitment Team will be in touch shortly to walk you through the process and answer any questions. In the meantime, feel free to hold your place on the course by signing our online form.
UCAS Overview Many school leaver applicants for our undergraduate programmes choose to apply through UCAS. You will be assessed on the basis of your qualifications, your personal statement, and/or your portfolio of work. Apply online through the UCAS website, either through your school or college who are registered with UCAS, or independently if you do not belong to a UK school or college.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER I APPLY VIA UCAS? Once your UCAS application has been received, we’ll assess your suitability for the course. If you clearly meet the entry criteria for the course you’ve chosen, we’ll offer you a place, either via a conditional or unconditional offer.
A CONDITIONAL OFFER A conditional offer means that while we are excited to welcome you to SAE, we are still awaiting further information from you (such as your exam results and/or certificates) in order to officially offer and secure your place on the course.
A UNCONDITIONAL OFFER An unconditional offer means you have sufficiently demonstrated your suitability for the course and met all of our entry requirements. Congratulations! You don't need to supply any additional information.
AND THEN? We'll be in touch to let you know as soon as we have made you an offer. You can also see the status of your application on UCAS. Once you receive an Offer to Study, you will need to formally accept it. Simply log into UCAS and accept your offer online by making SAE your FIRM choice.
