Bio
Denver joined SAE as a games programming tutor after completing a contract with a games studio, working as a developer using Unreal Engine.
Over the decades he has written code for a wide range of devices ranging from the ZX81 micro computer through to Cray supercomputers. This includes the Cray model Y-MP supercomputer, which has itself starred in several movie productions.
Denver has considerable experience in helping thousands of students successfully complete their degree programmes at both undergraduate and postgraduate level. He has experience in various topics of Information Technology module delivery, dissertation supervision, and acted as lead viva examiner at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
He has been fortunate to work in numerous different roles at a high capacity institution similar in structure to SAE. He has experience working in student registry services, maintaining student attendance records, student induction & registration, IT support, examinations & assessments, and more. This rare opportunity of working across the entire student experience has given him unique insights into how a student’s behaviour translates into a final degree classification. Consequently, he leverages these insights to assist students in gaining the best outcomes possible.
Denver has an initial degree in Aeronautical Engineering, and holds a Masters of Science in Computational Fluid Dynamics from Cranfield University.
