Celebrating Success: SAE Glasgow Graduation Event 2023

Glasgow, 29th November 2023 — On Monday the 27th of November, Saint Luke’s, one of Glasgow’s most iconic venues, hosted the graduation event for SAE Glasgow. The evening celebrated achievements, hard work, and the bright future that awaits the talented Audio, Film, Game Art & Animation, and Music Business program graduates.

The event marked a significant milestone for approximately 60 graduates, with 30 gracing the occasion alongside their proud parents. The atmosphere was charged with excitement and anticipation as graduates prepared to take their next steps into the professional world, armed with the skills and knowledge acquired at SAE.

A thriving student community

The diverse range of disciplines, including Audio, Film, Game Art, and Music Business, showcased the breadth of talent SAE nurtures and fosters within its student community.

One of the highlights of the evening was the esteemed guest speaker, Omar Khan, the founder of No Code Games Studio. Khan, an alumnus of SAE, spoke passionately about his journey from being a student to establishing and growing No Code Games over the last eight years. His studio, now boasting a team of 28 talented individuals, is a testament to the success that can be achieved through dedication, innovation, and a solid educational foundation.

What makes Khan’s story particularly inspiring is his continued collaboration with SAE. He shared his experiences and highlighted that SAE remains a prime source for hiring staff with the specific skill sets that his industry demands. This symbiotic relationship between SAE and its alumni underscores the practical relevance of the education provided and its real-world impact on industries.

Special guests, including John Dack from Middlesex University, Keith Hennigan, Dan Ashman, Richard Peirson, Graham Lysaught, and Melissa Freites, graced the event. Their presence added an extra layer of significance to the occasion, emphasising the interconnectedness of educational institutions and industry professionals in shaping the future of creative industries.
