The Fold 48-Hour Film Challenge is an opportunity for filmmakers of all levels to practice their craft - to make a film in a weekend and have it screened before an audience at your local theatre.

How it works

  1. Gather your team together–friends, fellow filmmakers, like-minded creatives
  2. Register for the challenge
  3. Get your brief: genre, dialogue, and prop
  4. You have 48 hours to write, create and deliver
  5. An expert panel judges entires from the worlds of film, TV, advertising & sound design

It sounds simple: Make a film in 48 hours - 2 days - one weekend. Here’s the catch - you don’t know the genre of your film until right before the clock starts ticking!

First, begin putting a team together and register for the challenge.

Next, after registering, you will receive emails with information and tips for a successful event. During the lead-up to the challenge, teams recruit their cast and crew, scout locations and pull their gear together - putting everything in place for the filmmaking weekend.
