
Bio
Tommaso is a practitioner and researcher in the field of Sonic Arts, in particular in Sound and Movement practices.
One of his main focuses as the study the perception of movement through sound and the development of artistic work based on that, collaborative and cross-disciplinary with dance, film, theatre, multimedia, and new media. Further interests are the software and hardware augmentation of acoustic instruments, experimental music, immersive and interactive audio, generative music, and sound design for game.
His career highlights include:
- 2024 Feature at the British Science Festival, for the research project Song of the Bee on the study of the perception of movement through sound in new media
- 2019 Audio Engineering Society, Immersive Audio Conference Paper Proceedings with the paper “Multimodality and Audiovisual Perception: a case study involving Spatial Audio, Wave Field Synthesis and Dance Choreography”
