SAE’s Home of the Future Event Brings Students and Music Business Professionals Together

The fourth edition of The Home of the Future, held at Arca Milano on September 7th, shed a light on the issue of mental health among music business professionals, featuring a talk with the renowned rapper Nitro. Moderated by the journalist Nicholas David Altea (Wired, Rumore Magazine), the artist shared his personal experience, sparking reflections and dialogue with the audience.

The event, conceived and organised by the students of SAE Milano’s Music Business course, welcomed over 200 attendees and offered various opportunities for exchange and discussion between students and creative media professionals.

Among the highlights, Matteo Cantaluppi (producer) and Giada Crisci (Sony Music Publishing) took part in the showcase of projects by Audio Production students, listening to and commenting on several original tracks. Later, they were interviewed by an SAE student on the future scenarios of the recording industry. At the same time, Audio Production alumnus and Sound Designer for games Alessandro Bernabei also contributed to the discussions by analyzing the sound for games projects and giving the students feedbacks on their work according to his professional experience..

Great interest was generated by the presentation of Music Bridge, a project created by Gloria Airoldi (student at SAE London) and Fabiano Del Sole (student at SAE Milano, Music Business course). Developed as a final project, the format aims at supporting emerging Italian artists in entering the international market—a concrete example of SAE’s spirit of international collaboration, fostering educational experiences with a global perspective.

The day also marked the official launch of the first edition of SAE Milan’s International Week, a week during which the campus becomes a meeting point for cultures, music, and creativity, welcoming students, artists, and professionals from across Europe.

With a focus on creativity and artificial intelligence, as part of the PNRR NIMI project, the initiative opened new perspectives on the future of Italian music craftsmanship and industry, encouraging international dialogue and offering students opportunities for growth and exchange.

The event concluded with live music, including unplugged sets in ARCA’s garden and DJ performances, enriched by the participation of visiting students from SAE campuses in Berlin and Amsterdam, attending International Week.
