SAE Institute is excited to be attending We Are Robots, the three day music festival dedicated to showcasing new technology in music creation.
Taking place from 12 - 14 October at the Old Truman Brewery in London, We Are Robots will be exploring the future of music by joining forces with some of the biggest names in the music industry. Set to be yet another fascinating event, the theme for this year is ‘the future and innovation of music’ and SAE is delighted to be in attendance and engage with invited guests.
With our very own exhibition, SAE’s staff and students will provide a showcase of electronic music and contemporary audio practice. Entitled ‘CIRCUITRY’, SAE’s nightlife inspired pop-up space will feature DJ sets, playlists, demonstrations and talks from current students, graduates and staff from SAE London. Festival attendees will be able to find out more about what SAE offers, the institute’s historical expertise in audio production and how, as a creative media higher education provider, it contributes to the music scene in London.
Commenting ahead of the event, Rob Finder, Academic Coordinator at SAE London said:
“Our audio students and alumni are successful producers, artists, DJs, label owners, engineers, and designers. Our staff bring with them extensive industry experience and creative practice to work with our students in creating the future of music and audio production.
Featured student work comes from those in our Audio Production BA/BSc degree programme and our Electronic Music Production short courses.”
Also in attendance alongside SAE are ROLI, Source Distribution, Red Dog Music and Teenage Engineering. Guests will get the opportunity to book on to a selection of workshops and attend talks on innovation in the industry, covering topics such as Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR).
