Induction and Enrolment
It’s almost time for you to join us and we can’t wait to welcome you to the SAE family!
Enrolment will take place on Monday 11 May and will be conducted virtually given the ongoing global situation with the COVID-19 pandemic.
Our highly creative academic and student support teams are primed to conduct your enrolment using the video-conferencing platform Zoom, having moved temporarily to online learning after the UK Government announced social-distancing policies in March.
You will receive an email invite for your enrolment meeting. If you cannot make this date or time, there will be a chance to re-book.
What do you need to do before enrolment?
We know you're going to be eager to get stuck into your course, but there are some things we need from you to kick-start your time with us.
Below are a number of documents you'll need to have ready for your enrolment meeting to ensure that we can enrol you onto the course. Please note that if you don’t have these documents ready for your Zoom induction then this may result in a partial enrolment.
What you'll need to bring:
Original Photographic ID, which must be one of the following:
- ID card
- Driving licence (photocard only)
- UK Home Office Immigration Status Document (e.g., if you are not a British or European National or a Tier 4 student)*
*where a UK Home Office Immigration Status Document is required we would also need to see your passport
Your Student Finance, SLC or SAAS Support information
Your Student Finance, SLC or SAAS Support information – this importantly includes the Universities and Colleges Payment Advice Slip, which is the document that has the tuition fee and maintenance loan amounts included on it. If you have not received this yet, please bring proof of your student loan application and all your student finance letters with you.
We strongly recommend applying for your Student Finance as early as possible. Follow the link here on how to begin this process. If your tuition fees are not being paid by you or your family, we will need to know who will be paying your fees (i.e. your sponsors).
Send us a photo for your student ID card
Please ensure you have sent us a JPEG photo of yourself for your Student ID card - this needs to be a passport style photo (portrait mode), with a plain background where your face is clearly visible - to firstname.lastname@example.org
Your SAE Student ID card will be given to you once you are able to access the campus, and is your organisation-wide multifunctional campus card. Main functions:
- Proof of student identity
- Access to SAE Institute campus
- Borrow library books and media equipment (when applicable)
- Access to computing and printing facilities
Your original exam certificates / qualifications
Your original exam certificates/qualifications, as proof of entry requirements. This includes your highest qualification such as your level 3 (A Level/BTEC Level or equivalent) final exam certificates and your level 2 (GCSE or equivalent) English exam certificate.
If you have applied for our Audio Production degree, we also require your level 2 Maths exam certificate. These need to be original copies, not photocopies.
