The afternoon talk series at SAE London is one of a range of careers events, with Aardvark Swift visiting lots of different key higher education providers across the UK and Europe each year.
The core talk will take place from 2.00 - 3.00pm, with guest speaker talks taking place from 3.00 - 4.30 pm. There will be a chance to ask questions in a Q&A at the end, from 4.30 pm onwards.
Students get a chance to hear directly from individuals working within the games industry, from specialist games recruiters at Aardvark Swift, as well as a number of representatives from UK games studios. The speakers at the SAE London talk include Betty Le Bon (Associate Art Director at BossAlien), Ciro Duran (Senior Programmer at BossAlien) and Chris Harper (Senior Technical Artist at Splash Damage).
Aardvark Swift Operations Manager for Graduate Recruitment, Andy Driver, said: “Throughout our talk we will provide students with real life examples of excellent student portfolios and CVs, tell them exactly what the games industry is looking for in graduates, as well as tell them about the ways in which they can create the assets they need for their portfolio. We will also be giving out goody bags full of merchandise from games studios too!”

The core Get In The Game careers session is based directly on feedback from studios who take part in Aardvark Swift’s annual graduate recruitment survey of the UK game industry. The insight really is coming directly from the mouths of individuals who may one day be your employer!
The talk at SAE London on 1 November will highlight the benefits and reality of a career in video games development, giving students the guidance they need on how to prepare themselves and improve their employability prospects.
