SAE to join pop culture cosplay at MCM London

25 Oct 2016

SAE Institute and Comic Con - four words that go together like Lois Lane and Clark Kent.

So it’s no surprise the institute, which offers two year creative degrees, will be out in force at MCM London this October, spruiking its success as a pop culture powerhouse. From Batman, Lord of the Rings to Harry Potter and a host of Marvel games; SAE is a force to be reckoned with when it comes to its graduates finding success on million dollar productions.

Animation alumnus Billy Butler - who was part of the team that scored a BAFTA and an Academy Award for the film Gravity -  is one such example. Billy joined the Oscar-winning visual effects company Framestore in 2010 and is full of praise for the world-leading institute that got him there. “SAE did a good job of getting in reps from successful VFX companies, showing off their company reel and talking about what they do,” said Billy.

And he’s not the only one touting SAE’s industry training.

"SAE is the place to go if you’re serious about a career in the creative industries," added Audio alumnus Peter Hanson. Peter graduated from SAE London and has since gone on to work on big titles such as Ex Machina, Guardians of the Galaxy and more recently, the live-action retelling of Beauty and the Beast with Emma Watson. “You literally could not have learnt any more to prepare yourself for doing the job at hand.”

SAE will be joining in all the fandom fun at this October’s Comic Con, so if you’re dreaming of a creative career make sure you check out the friendly folks at stand 3631.
