An SAE Oxford Film student walked the red carpet on Thursday 21 September when he premiered his debut feature film at the Odeon Cinema in George Street, Oxford.
The shoot included several fellow SAE film students who worked in a variety of roles such as Sound Booming, Post-Production sound and Steadicam Operator. Jason even tapped into the family talent by recuriting his own sister as Costume Designer and his father joining the talented cast.
Jason commented on the incredible journey from page to screen:
"I was so pleased with the turnout, almost a hundred people attended to watch our film and it was such a surreal mixed feeling of pride and nervousness. I was surrounded by friends, family and the most talented people I know. It's strange to think that we started this film in May. Four months is an unreal time to make a feature film and then hold a screening for it. But it couldn't have been done without the combined efforts of everyone who worked on the film."
The praise for the film has been unanimous with screening attendees broadcasting their verdict on the film:
"I was still emotionally tarnished and gripped by a film involving fantastic acting and production skills, which only speaks for the professional skill of those involved." said Ed Woolley.
"Jason is a fantastic professional, both on and off set. He makes the most out of everything and always has a desire to achieve the best result. The atmosphere at the screening was fantastic and the film itself was a great success. And the buzz and positive feedback from everyone who attended definitely echoed that." said Emily Stanley.
Jason is wasting little time in finding his next project and is already prepping his next film in the shape of a world war 1 drama, along with rehearsing for a 6 month theatre tour of Italy where he will play Oscar Wilde's legenadary creation Dorian Gray.
We wish Jason all the best in his film and acting career.
