Learning his craft from some of the best in the business, including the designers behind Beauty and the Beast, Thumbelina and The Land Before Time, Aidan Coughlan has worked on some of the best-loved children’s programmes on air today (think BAFTA and Emmy nominated show Octonauts and Disney Junior’s Henry Hugglemonster.)
Now the talented SAE Animation lecturer is sharing his expertise with the world, in a new live webinar called 3D for the Masses.
Held every Wednesday from 7pm to 9pm, Aidan says the weekly webinar is for both Animation students and anyone interest in 3D design.
“We cover topics including character design, VFX, modelling and sculpting techniques, as well tools and software such as Zbrush, Maya, 3Ds Max and Mari, Substance Designer and Painter, and Photoshop,” said Mr Coughlan.
“I also offer advice to students about breaking into the industry and getting their work noticed.”
The Animation lecturer has worked for Brown Bag Studios - one of Europe’s most successful animation companies - and uses his industry connections to invite guest animators on the show.
In tonight’s webinar, Aidan will be joined by Disney Infinity character artist Matt Thorup, as they discuss the latest tips, tricks and trends.
Check out 3D for the Masses, tonight at 7pm.
