REDEFINING PUBLIC ARTS

Rayvenn Shaleigha D’Clark is a London-based artist, lecturer and sculptor whose work merges digital innovation with social storytelling. In 2023, she founded Sculptural Drawings Ltd. and secured nearly £2 million in funding for permanent sculptures in both the UK and US, all within ten months.

Her practice explores the visibility of underrepresented identities in public spaces, using sculpture to challenge who and what is commemorated in our shared environments.

Career Highlights

In March 2024, Rayvenn unveiled Black Renaissance, a series of three large-scale bronze sculptures at the Equal Justice Initiative’s Freedom Monument Sculpture Park in Montgomery, Alabama. This landmark commission, awarded to an early-career Black female artist under 30, is expected to draw over two million visitors and reshape narratives surrounding history and identity.

Later that year, she was named to the Forbes 30 Under 30 Europe (Art & Culture) list and received a joint award from the Cast Metals Federation for technical innovation in sculpture.

In 2025, Rayvenn launched Mother Vérité, a powerful public artwork exploring motherhood and postpartum recovery, unveiled outside London’s Lindo Wing at St. Mary’s Hospital and later exhibited in Portman Square. The piece has been featured by British Vogue, CNN, Harper’s Bazaar UK, Hypebae and The Guilt Feminist.

She is currently the Artist-in-Residence for the Olympic Digital Heritage Programme (321 Qatar Olympic and Sports Museum & The Olympic Museum, Lausanne), creating work that celebrates underrepresented athletes from the Global South ahead of the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.

Global Recognition

Rayvenn has collaborated with DAZED, Aesthetica Magazine, Apollo Magazine, The Crafts Council, and exhibited at leading institutions including the V&A Museum, Saatchi Gallery, Gucci Circolo Shoreditch, Carl Freedman Gallery, and the Royal College of Art. Her media appearances span BBC Live, CNN, Arte TV, and London Live’s Next Big Thing, where she champions equitable creative opportunities and sustainable business models in the arts.

Teaching and Research

As a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and lecturer in Content Creation, Rayvenn bridges art-making with critical inquiry. She encourages students to use research and digital tools as a foundation for creativity, connecting artistic practice with real-world impact.

Her teaching philosophy centres on active listening, cultural curiosity and experimentation. By blending research, technology and visual storytelling, she helps students craft work that’s both conceptually rich and globally relevant.
