Spending three years with Chester University, James was able to hone his skills and really find his niche in Hard Surface Modelling. Working with software such as Maya, 3DS Max, Substance Painter, ZBrush, Blender, Unreal Engine 4/5. James describes himself as versatile in a multitude of industry standard software, making him well suited to take on any new workflow but also practice sessions and implore the importance to students how valuable these tools are.
With experience as an LSA (Learning Support Assistant) at Wirral Met College, he has the classroom-based experience to offer support, guidance and academic feedback to students in a professional yet courteous manner.
James’ key rule with students is “patience is a virtue and you must allow the student to fail so they can learn, failure is often the greatest teacher. My job is to ensure the students have the necessary resources at their disposal so they can take advantage of those mistakes to their utmost potential”.
His career highlights include being a 3D Artist at Starlight Games, as well as shipped House of Golf 2.
