Eoghan MacArthur is a Teaching Assistant and Lecturer in Game Art & Animation based in Glasgow. A recent graduate stepping into the industry, he represents a new generation of creatives committed to sharing knowledge, building community and pushing the games industry forward.

Having recently completed his BSc (Hons) in Game Art & Animation, Eoghan approaches both teaching and practice with curiosity and momentum: seeing graduation not as the finish line, but the starting point.

Industry & Community

While early in his professional journey, Eoghan is very well recognised in the creative scene having volunteered at multiple Scottish creative conferences and industry events, supporting the growth and visibility of the games and digital arts community. For Eoghan, these spaces are where ideas, collaboration and opportunity come to life.

Creative Philosophy

What inspires Eoghan most about the games industry is its people. The Scottish games community is known for its warmth, openness and support – a culture that encourages experimentation, collaboration and shared growth. He says, “It’s a brilliant place to work and I’m so glad to be included.”

Guiding Creators

Eoghan believes knowledge should never be gatekept. Instead, it should be shared, expanded and passed forward so new creators can build on the foundations laid before them. In the classroom, he encourages students to explore, experiment and learn openly, helping them develop both technical skill and creative confidence.
