Get festival experience before you graduate
Nestled in a European capital of music culture, its storied alumni who have made those first steps at Sound City reads as a who’s who of the biggest and brightest names in modern music, from the likes of Ed Sheeran, Stormzy, The xx, Alt-J and Courtney Barnett to The Wombats, Royal Blood, Catfish & The Bottlemen and many more.
As a partner of Liverpool Sound City, SAE offers students and applicants the chance to apply for real-world opportunities connected to the festival and conference each year.
From behind-the-scenes support to creative and production roles, these placements give you a practical introduction to working at a live music event.
What you can apply for
Opportunities change each year depending on the needs of the festival and production teams, but have included:
- Live audio support at festival venues
- Festival filming and content capture
- Conference and event support
- Sponsorship and partner activations
- Artist and stage support roles
- General festival operations and admin
