SAE Oxford to host virtual open event on Saturday 13 June

10 Jun 2020

As part of SAE UK’s rapid adaptation to online content delivery in light of COVID-19, SAE Oxford will be hosting a virtual open event this Saturday, on 13 June from 12.00 - 2.00 pm.

This online Open Event will take place within the secure video conferencing platform, Zoom*, and is a great chance for attendees to learn more about the incredible range of creative media courses on offer at SAE.

There will be an introductory presentation from SAE Oxford Campus Director, Richard Peirson, where you’ll learn about how our 2-year creative media degrees set us apart from other higher education providers.

SAE Oxford Campus Director Richard Peirson said: “I’m looking forward to meeting all of our prospective applicants this Saturday and helping them learn more about the fantastic wealth of opportunities open to SAE students - from the SAE Live Lounge to our SAE Extra masterclasses, there is never a dull day at the home of the creatives!”

This will be followed by a statement from the Academic Coordinator who will talk about how we’ve adapted to COVID-19 and how we will ensure that any students joining us from September 2020 will be supported with their application in lieu of summer examinations taking place. We’re keen to show you that there’s no better time to kickstart your creative future with SAE!

SAE UK General Manager and Managing Director Steffan Davies said: “SAE’s rapid transition to online delivery for the time being as a result of COVID-19 has been met with really positive feedback from students. We’re keen to reassure applicants that we have every intention of being back on campus by September, and will do everything in our power to ensure they can get stuck in from day one.”

These presentations will be followed by programme overview sessions, where each attendee can go and meet the lecturer for their chosen course - Animation, Audio, Film and Music Business - and get a taste of what studying with SAE is like.

Please note that on this occasion, you will be asked to choose your primary course of interest; you won’t be able to explore multiple courses as part of this event because of time constraints. However, our friendly recruitment and admissions team are more than happy to book in a one-to-one video call to discuss the differences between our programmes at a time that suits you if you are trying to decide between two or more courses.

These course-specific taster sessions will be followed by a Q&A where you can ask anything you like about fees and funding, accommodation, employability/graduate outcomes, and our friendly recruitment, admissions and student experience teams will also be on hand in case you have any personal needs you’d like to discuss with us. You can also apply to start your creative future with us on the day too.

We’re looking forward to seeing you there!
