Look around the home of creatives at SAE UK October Open Events

14 Oct 2019

SAE UK is hosting a series of open events at its four UK campuses this month.

Open Events are a fantastic opportunity to meet and chat to current students, speak to our expert staff about the courses offered, see tech demonstrations, learn more about the range of careers open to SAE graduates, and find out more about the admissions process.

Choose SAE Oxford

On 16 October, curious creatives can look around the SAE Oxford campus from 6.00 pm, and try their hands at Animation, Audio or Film in a taster workshop.

The Oxford campus is located in Littlemore Park, Armstrong Road, OX4 4FY. It’s well connected, with easy transport links straight to the city centre, and ample parking.

Current student Matt Chapman said: "Once I saw the amazing environment of support and encouragement in each of its campuses, I had to apply for a place at SAE Oxford. Oxford is such a vibrant place to study, with inspiration everywhere, and SAE utilises this, with opportunities to explore what is available to us not only now, but for when we leave to make a career for ourselves. SAE Oxford is so well equipped to provide experience on industry standard equipment, before taking skills out into the workplace."

Choose SAE London or SAE Liverpool

On 17 October, applicants can take a tour of SAE London and SAE Liverpool, who will both be opening their doors from 6.00 pm.

SAE London is made up of two campus buildings - SAE House (297 Kingsland Rd) and Bankstock Studios (42 - 44 De Beauvoir Cres) - which are in Haggerston, East London and just a short walk apart. Head to SAE House to begin with and staff will be keen to show you around the studios.

SAE London Campus Director Nathan Loughran said: "We are really looking forward to welcoming prospective students and parents along to our first Open Event of this academic year. We hope this event will provide you with a real flavour of what SAE is all about. It's an opportunity to find out more about the courses we run here, get a glimpse of our state of the art facilities, meet with lecturers and current students and get a little taste of what studying at SAE would be like. We pride ourselves on our inclusive culture and therefore see this as an ideal opportunity for us to get to know you a little bit too and respond to any questions, queries or concerns you may have. We recognise that making the right decision for continued study in Higher Education is a very big decision and we want to help inform and support that process by providing you with as much information, advice and guidance you need. I really look forward to meeting you on 17 Oct."

The SAE Liverpool campus (38 Pall Mall, L3 6AL) is located in the heart of the city centre.

SAE Liverpool Campus Director Michael Carroll said: “Students studying at SAE Liverpool have the luxury of studying in a high-end campus that has a great vibe and the feel of a working studio. We're one big family here and we can really get to know our students, meaning a fantastic level of support from our talented team of industry professionals and a unique learning experience for anyone studying here. Liverpool is a diverse city full of creative, collaborative and forward-thinking companies that we can engage students with. It really is an exciting time to study at SAE Liverpool!”

Choose SAE Glasgow

On 26 October, SAE Glasgow will be open from 12.00 - 4.00 pm for you to see what’s so special about choosing to launch your creative media career with SAE.

The Glasgow’s main campus building (85-87 Portman Street) and nearby annexe are both situated in Kinning Park, close to the headquarters of BBC Scotland and Scottish Television.

Current student Jen Anderson said: “I chose to study at SAE Glasgow as the practical nature of the course allowed me to explore a variety of audio applications whilst the city itself provided a range of opportunities to network with industry professionals. The course content combined with the creative environment at SAE Glasgow has helped to prepare me for entering the industry as both a freelancer and for full-time employment.”
