SAE Institute is pleased to announce an exciting new partnership with Liverpool Sound City, as Principal Creative Media Education Partner. Throughout an initial two-year partnership SAE Liverpool students will have placement and internship opportunities, both at the annual festival and year-round at a range of other events, providing invaluable industry experience across several creative disciplines including Audio Production, Music Business, Film Production and Animation.
Internship and placements will include:
- Audio Engineers at Liverpool Sound City Music Festival 2022 and 2023
- Music Business and Digital Marketing internships with the Modern Sky Record Label and management company
- Event industry and digital marketing internships with Liverpool Sound City
- Filming of events and content creation
In addition to intern and placement opportunities SAE Liverpool students will also be able to attend the Sound City+ conference, where they will have the chance to network with hundreds of industry professionals.
SAE Institute will have a ‘stage takeover’ at the three day festival taking place at top Liverpool music venues between 29 April – 1 May 2022.

Liverpool Sound City is an annual music festival and industry conference that sees established names perform alongside a constant stream of local, national and international emerging talent. They were one of the first to host Ed Sheeran, Stormzy, The 1975, Years & Years and many many more at the beginning of their musical careers.

About Sound City+ Conference
Kickstarting the Sound City weekend on Friday 29 April the Sound City+ Conference brings together 100s of industry professionals from around the world to examine the music industry after a transformative 12 months. The conference is co-curated with AIM (Association of Independent Music) and will provide students with extensive networking opportunities.
