SAE is delighted to announce the launch of our new Game and Interactive Audio degree.
The new course aims to respond to the latest developments in virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR) and extended reality (XR) by arming the next generation of technology specialists with the skills to take advantage of the latest opportunities.
From sound design and game engines to audio middleware, adaptive music systems and real-time implementation, the two-year course will give students the chance to explore various aspects of interactive audio for games, installations and more.
James McCormick, Programme Leader, Audio & Music, said: “Sound is a fundamental part of how we experience games and immersive media. The Game and Interactive Audio degree brings music and sound design together with technical implementation using tools like Unreal Engine, Wwise and FMOD.”
“It’s a course that prepares graduates to craft thoughtful and adaptive sonic experiences that enhance player and audience immersion, within an industry that increasingly demands it.”
Available to study at SAE’s Glasgow, London, Liverpool and Leeds campuses, the course is a fast-tracked two-year accelerated degree programme taught across six trimesters.
Not only will students have the opportunity to learn from our expert teaching faculty but also utilise the latest industry software to hone their skills.
