SAE Institute was delighted to welcome new and returning students to the new academic year with a wide array of events, masterclasses and live performances across our five campuses.
From SAE Glasgow to SAE London, each campus saw students able to network, socialise and prepare for the new year with a series of welcome sessions.
Industry guests included trans content creator and author Lewis Hancox, singer songwriter Corinne Bailey Rae, Liverpool dance music group Girls Don’t Sync, experimental electronic artist Look Mum No Computer and musician Callum Easter.
Commenting, Lisa Satchell, SAE’s Head of Events, said: “Freshers Week 2025 was our biggest yet, spanning five campuses – London, Liverpool, Leeds, Glasgow, and Leamington Spa – and welcoming students from both ICMP and SAE.”
“The diversity and energy across locations were incredible, and it was a real privilege to reconnect with students I’d first met at school fairs and Open Days.”
“Highlights included unforgettable guest appearances from Look Mum No Computer, Girls Don’t Sync, Callum Easter, Lewis Hancox, and Corinne Bailey Rae – a line-up that truly reflected our student community. Bandeoke made a brilliant debut in Liverpool and Leeds, and the atmosphere throughout the week was nothing short of electric.”
Elsewhere, Col Goudie BFE, a multi award-winning feature film editor whose career spans more than 40 years, hosted a masterclass at our London campus. Their credits include Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (2016), Monsters (2010), To Olivia (2021), Tetris (2023), and the upcoming Argylle (2024).
Our students were also able to take part in Bandeoke, an event where attendees were invited to grab an instrument and join our amazing band on stage to perform from a catalogue of songs.
Level Up was also run across all our campuses, a relaxed and friendly evening of gaming, socialising, and making new connections for all gamers.
Industry guests include Lewis Hancox who shared his experiences in content creation with students at SAE’s Leamington Spa campus.
In Liverpool, dance music group Girls Don’t Sync talked about their careers to date with students while in London, experimental producer Look Mum No Computer took to the stage to explore his experiences.
Welcome to all students, both new and returning!
