Teo Marangon

Recording Engineer, Producer & Studio Founder
London

Bio

SAE London Audio Production alumni Teo Marangon has developed a career spanning recording, producing, mixing and composition within London’s studio scene. After graduating, he quickly established himself within the city’s professional recording circuit, spending more than three years working at Denmark Street Studios, where he built the foundation for his work as an engineer and producer.

Alongside studio engineering, Teo has expanded into composition, creating music for major international brands including Dr. Martens, Microsoft and Dell. His work combines contemporary production with a strong appreciation for classic recording techniques and analogue sound.

A major career milestone came when Teo received a Grammy nomination as a recording engineer for Foreverland by Keyon Harrold, nominated for Best Alternative Jazz Album in 2025. Teo recorded the vocals for the project, earning a credit alongside acclaimed artists including Robert Glasper, Laura Mvula and Chris Dave – a moment he describes as both surreal and deeply rewarding.

Most recently, Teo achieved a long-term ambition by opening his own creative space in East London, The Office Recording Studio. Designed around his love for vintage instruments and microphones, the studio reflects his commitment to timeless analogue recording and a carefully curated creative environment.

Teo credits SAE with helping him build the network that shaped his career. Many of the peers he met during his studies became long-term collaborators and continue to form part of his professional community within the London music industry.

His advice to students is to take full advantage of the studio facilities while they can. Spending as much time as possible recording, experimenting and developing practical skills is where the real value of the experience lies.

For aspiring creatives, Teo emphasises the importance of trusting your instincts and committing fully to your vision. In a demanding industry, he believes that a strong musical identity and consistent work ethic are what ultimately set artists and engineers apart.
