At SAE, we believe your training should mimic the working world as much as possible. That’s why we offer state-of-the-art facilities at all our campuses and invest heavily in equipment – favoured by professionals – to give you the best hands-on experience.
The equipment will be tailored to our different creative industry courses. From Solid State Logic (SSL) and Neve audio desks to Animation Labs and Dolby Atmos Post-Production Suites. You’ll have the opportunity to try, test and learn so you can master all the technology to set you up for a successful future.

Games Workshop – 3D Modelling a Pokéball
Ever wondered how game artists bring iconic game objects to life? Whether you’re curious about 3D modelling or serious about a career in Game Art & Animation, this hands-on workshop is the perfect place to start.
Join us for an interactive Game Art & Animation workshop where you’ll:
- Learn how to create both a low-poly and high-poly Pokéball, following professional game industry topology standards.
- Model using Autodesk Maya and develop skills in clean geometry, edge flow, and mesh optimisation.
- Unwrap your model and grasp the fundamentals of UV mapping using Photoshop.
- Use Substance Painter to texture your Pokéball with a custom, stylised finish.
This workshop is hosted in our high-spec studios, equipped with state-of-the-art PCs and drawing graphic tablets, giving you access to the same tools used in the industry. Perfect for aspiring 3D artists, animators, and anyone passionate about digital creativity.
Spaces are limited to just 16 participants, ensuring a focused, personal learning experience.
