Designing Playable Futures
Nathan is a Lecturer in Games Design and Programming at SAE Leamington Spa. With over a decade of experience teaching in the creative industries, he’s passionate about pushing the boundaries of interactive storytelling and helping the next generation of developers build their own worlds.
Industry Experience
Nathan has worked as an indie developer on several small game projects and as a project manager on AR mobile apps. He has delivered panels and talks at Interactive Futures and Game Dev Group, and runs a successful podcast featuring industry guests such as John Romero (Romero Games) and influencer Ash Millman.
Academic Expertise
Holding a Distinction in MA Indie Game Development and a BA (Hons) in Media and Communications with Film Studies, Nathan combines academic insight with practical development knowledge. His research and experience bridge both the creative and technical sides of games.
Creative Vision
Nathan believes video games are the most exciting and immersive storytelling medium — still young compared to film, but constantly evolving. He finds it rewarding to guide new talent and help students discover their voice within this growing industry.
