Shaping Sound Worlds

Scott Jones is an Audio Lecturer at SAE Glasgow, bringing a rich blend of professional experience and experimental creativity to his teaching. After graduating from SAE, Scott worked as a freelancer across sound design, location recording, studio engineering, mixing, and mastering, before completing a Master’s in Sound for the Moving Image at the Glasgow School of Art.

Industry Experience

Scott has collaborated on unique projects including Harris Distillery’s Ceremony, mixing and mastering sound art for the release of their first-ever whisky, The Hearach. His work spans film, games, and experimental music, giving students insight into the practical and creative possibilities of audio in multiple industries.

Creative Philosophy

Scott is fascinated by the musical potential of field recordings, transforming environmental sounds into instruments for sound design and electronic music production. He loves the constantly evolving nature of audio work, the collaboration with talented creatives, and the opportunity to turn passion into a professional career.
