Oliver Ball

Graduating in 2025, Oliver began building real-world ventures while still studying. During his time at SAE, he co-founded NoSnore, a niche e-commerce brand designed to help people block out snoring, which quickly gained traction. Within its first year, the business scaled rapidly and established a strong presence in its market.

Crucially, Oliver’s technical skillset allowed him to manage every aspect of the website himself. Working with Shopify, he handled site development, performance optimisation and conversion testing independently, giving him the speed and flexibility needed to scale efficiently. Balancing study, commuting and part-time work, Oliver reached a major milestone when the business became successful enough for him to leave his job while still at university.

NoSnore was later acquired by an American company, marking a rare achievement, selling a business before graduating.

Following the exit, Oliver founded Signal Marketing, a digital marketing agency focused on paid advertising, web development and local SEO. The agency now supports a wide range of brands, managing dozens of Google Maps profiles and working with businesses generating significant combined monthly revenue.

Alongside agency work, Oliver continues to launch and partner in e-commerce ventures, including a co-ownership role in a growing golf brand and the early development of a new health-focused product. His career to date reflects a hands-on, learn-by-doing approach, combining technical expertise with entrepreneurial ambition.

Oliver credits SAE with providing the technical grounding and confidence needed to build and scale businesses independently. By deeply understanding how websites and systems work, he has been able to turn ideas into scalable, revenue-generating ventures. He says:

“Without SAE, I wouldn’t have had the same depth of understanding or confidence to build and scale what I’ve built.”

His advice to future SAE students is to start building before you feel ready. Launch projects, experiment and learn by doing alongside your coursework. Use your time at SAE to test ideas, collaborate and take risks, consistency and initiative make the biggest difference.
