SAE is delighted to announce its South Korean scholarship will run for a second year.
The initiative is a collaboration with Schoolmusic, the largest online retailer of musical instruments in Korea, and sponsored by IK Multimedia.
The competition will invite students of any age to submit a track that they have self recorded and produced.
The prize is to win a full software suite Total Studio Max from IK Multimedia, and 10 in person 1-1 lessons in production from our very own alumni engineer and producer, the Seoul-based Chris Lee.
Professor Ace Kent, SAE’s Head of Industry and Brand partnerships, said:
“At SAE, we say a massive thank you for Schoolmusic and IK Multimedia for supporting this initiative and encouraging the new wave of young Korean producers to participate.”
“We really look forward to receiving all of our South Korean entries!”
In 2024, the competition was well received with excellent entries, and was supported by online advertising by Schoolmusic. South Korean music student Han-Byul Jung won the inaugural SAE scholarship to receive support to advance her career.
The new competition will be launched at the beginning of 2026.
We wish all of our South Korean entries good luck!
