SAE’s new national Students’ Union is delighted to have been nominated for an Independent Higher Education (IHE) Award in recognition of its work to empower all students to make positive change within our community.
SAE’s Students’ Union was formally created in 2024, spearheaded by Gus Granchelli, the then Student President.
It sits within the ADE UK group and was shortlisted in the Empowering Student Voice category.
This nomination is to recognise the innovative nation-wide structure and the union’s contribution to providing students with a voice to make a difference within the institution.
Professor Tony Harris, ADE’s Principal, said: “We’re very pleased to receive this recognition of our hard work from IHE.
“Our student officers are dedicated to promoting and protecting the interests of our students and ensuring all students receive the highest quality student experience. It’s fantastic that the formation of our union has been recognised in these awards. I want to pay particular tribute to Gus Granchelli, our former Student President, who relentlessly pursued this project for the benefit of all ADE UK students”
The award categories spotlight initiatives that involve students in shaping their education, courses that inspire through creativity and relevance, digital innovation to enrich learning, and support systems that help students thrive.
Winners will be announced on the evening of Wednesday 26th November 2025 following the IHE Annual Conference at the Royal College of Physicians, London.
