SAE students act in new hero video filmed by Junction Eleven

08 Nov 2019

SAE students recently had an opportunity to work with the award-winning content production studio, Junction Eleven, to create a unique hero video to reflect the exciting creative media subjects taught at our four UK campuses in Oxford, London, Liverpool and Glasgow.

The students who starred in the promotional video were the Film students Janel Pascual, Rachel Rutter, Alex Giles, and Audio students Ethan Edwards and Joe Fuller.

The three-day shoot was a great experience for students at the SAE Oxford campus, where the commercial was in-part shot, as it gave them a chance to see the behind-the-scenes process of working on a professional brief. When they weren’t starring in a scene, the students had the opportunity to shadow the Junction Eleven team as they worked to shoot various elements of the video. Ethan Edwards said: “I thought the day was a good way to show the people who attended what work may be like after leaving university, the set was amazing and felt truly massive when you walked in. I think being in such a space made it truly feel like what we were working on was a real industry-standard, professional production. The main thing I took away from the careers talk was both the idea of optimising marketing videos and images for mobile, and the fact that they offered to give us help if we ever wanted to email in and ask for guidance on any of our own work.”

Junction Eleven is an award-winning creative content team housed within one of the UK’s largest and longest running drive-in studio facilities. With clients across multiple industries and markets, their team of integrated production and creative specialists cover ideation, shoot production, social management, photography, film, CGI and retouch.

Their film team consists of a mixture of agency producers, DOPs, storytellers, content creators, editors and animators. Their specialisms range from TVC production through to reactive social content.
