SAE UK is excited to announce that students from SAE London, SAE Oxford, SAE Glasgow and SAE Liverpool are all eligible to participate in the Short + Sweet SAE International Film Festival. Entry is free and open to SAE students or recent SAE graduates who graduated in the last two years.
In order to be eligible for the competition, your submissions must be 10 minutes or less (excluding credits). Your work will be seen and assessed by a line-up of industry professionals from around the world.
The two best films (selected by both audience and jury) will be entered into the S+S Short Film Festival Hollywood (15 October) and be eligible to be selected as finalists in the International S+S Gala Final to be held on 22 October.
Any film that progresses to the 22 October event will be eligible for nomination for an Academy Award (in the categories of Documentary or Animation) thanks to a partnership between S+S and American Documentary Film Festival (AmDocs).
Your film can be shot and edited on any device, but you must have permission to use any images, storylines music etc. The short may feature the work of other artists and contributors, however your involvement should be as one of the Creative Team. You are responsible for obtaining the permission of others involved in the production e.g. getting actor release forms signed.
There will also be a series of live events in support of local and international participants in SAE campuses around the globe.
