About the speaker
Marcus Alqueres is a Canadian-Brazilian commercial director and filmmaker with two decades in VFX and animation industry, he worked on titles including 300, Rise of the Planet of the Apes, Tintin, and the Star Wars franchise, at houses like Weta FX, Scanline, and Ubisoft's Hybride, before transitioning to directing. He's the creator of the viral short The Flying Man (25M+ views) and director of feature debut WARDEN, released in North America by Freestyle Digital Media. As a commercial director, he has helmed national and global campaigns for brands such as Honda, Samsung, Volkswagen, and McDonald's.
