At the SAE Berlin Open Campus, you can try things out: meet the pros and experience how games, films, and music are actually made. You won’t find sterile classrooms here, but real studios in full swing. Whether you are (or want to become) a gamer, musician, filmmaker, or content creator: this is where you’ll find your tools and your community.
What to expect (Highlights):
Audio & Music
Live Band Recording: No playback. Real production. We are recording a band live in our main Studio CR1. Watch the engineers at work.
Dolby Atmos Experience: Immerse yourself in the 3D audio installation “State Dependent” and feel the sound physically.
Film & VFX
Motion Capture Live: Hollywood tech up close. Watch real-time motion capture in our Greenscreen studio and see how humans become digital avatars.
High-End Gear: Arri, Red & Co. – Check out the professional equipment our students use for their shoots (located under the stairs).
SAE Cinema: Non-stop inspiration. Screening the best short films and documentaries made by our alumni.
Games
Games Lounge: Play the latest student projects, including the Steam release “You Don’t Belong Here”.
Horror Box: Do you dare? The psychological thriller “14th Room” demonstrates how sound design and glitch art create real fear.
Nerd Quiz: Test your knowledge in the foyer and win exclusive merch.
