More than just a trend

AI as a tool for your creative future

Artificial intelligence is becoming increasingly important in the media industry and will accompany many creative processes in the future. At SAE Institute, we are convinced that AI offers tools that can support creative people in realising their visions in a more targeted, structured and productive way.

AI does not replace creativity -
it complements it

Therefore, our students do not learn how to replace people with AI, but how to use AI to enrich their own creative work, open up new possibilities and work more efficiently.

We promote the conscious, ethically responsible and reflective use of AI in creative professions and teach how AI technologies can be integrated into the individual work process.

AI in education

Individualised education without replacing lecturers

AI opens up new ways of teaching and enables an even more individualised and tailored education for our students. We use AI in a targeted way to:

Support different learning styles: Students can access learning materials in various formats, be it text, audio, interactive exercises or personalised learning experiences.

To support students with special needs: AI helps to make learning content easier to understand by simplifying explanations, offering alternative formats and addressing individual needs.

Make learning more flexible: Students can adapt their learning experience to their everyday life, tailor learning content to their individual progress and receive targeted support in their learning process.

AI does not replace lecturers

Instead, we use AI to optimise administrative processes and thus create more space for personal support and creative exchange between teachers and students.

We are experimenting with innovative AI technologies, but always with the aim of improving the quality and interactivity of learning – not to reduce human contact.

AI and sustainability - conscious use of resources

As a carbon-neutral company, we are aware of the environmental challenges associated with the use of AI. The operation of AI models requires considerable computing power, which is associated with high energy consumption. That is why we use AI consciously and in a resource-saving manner.

We are committed to using only those AI applications that offer sustainable added value for teaching and creativity and are constantly evaluating how we can minimise the ecological footprint of our digital infrastructure.

At the same time, we see AI as an opportunity for a more sustainable future: AI can help to utilise resources more efficiently, make processes in media production more eco-friendly and promote sustainable innovation in many areas. We therefore also teach our students how they can use AI in a way that allows sustainability and creativity to go hand in hand.

Ethical responsibility &
AI Guidelines

The conscious and ethically responsible use of AI is a key concern for us. While AI offers enormous potential in creative professions, it also raises questions about copyright, authenticity and responsibility.

Our Ethics Guideline for the use of AI defines clear guidelines on how AI technologies are used responsibly in our degree programmes and creative processes. These guideline includes principles for the fair use of AI in creative processes, transparency in the use of AI-generated content and the protection of intellectual property.

Data protection & AI usage

The SAE Institute does not process any personal data with AI systems. We only use GDPR-compliant technologies and ensure that no sensitive data is collected or analysed by AI models. Our employees are trained in data protection regulations to ensure secure and responsible use.

No, you are not obliged to use AI. At SAE Institute, you will learn how AI can be used as a tool in creative processes, but you decide for yourself to what extent you want to use it. Our aim is to enable you to engage with AI in a reflective way – not to use it blindly.

No. AI is used exclusively as a support tool to relieve teachers of organisational tasks. This leaves more time for individual support and creative dialogue. Personal contact with your lecturers remains an essential part of teaching.

We only use AI technologies that meet the requirements of the GDPR and do not process any personal data with AI systems. Our employees are trained to ensure data protection and AI use in accordance with our ethical guidelines.

We use AI consciously and as resource-efficiently as possible. Our aim is to promote more sustainable processes through the targeted use of AI, to minimise the ecological footprint and to train students to integrate AI sustainably into their work.
