Bio
During my studies, I quickly discovered compositing and was fascinated by how retouching, which I already knew from Photoshop, is applied to film.
With the projects I worked on during my studies at the SAE Institute, I was able to quickly gain a foothold in the advertising industry. I started my career as a compositing trainee at the post-production studio ACHT in Frankfurt am Main.
There I had my first opportunity to work on professional productions and was involved in advertising campaigns for well-known brands such as Samsung, Porsche and L’Oréal Paris. Although I really enjoyed working in advertising, I knew my dream was to see my name on the big screen one day.
So in 2019, I decided to move further into high-end VFX and moved to VFX studio Pixomondo. Here I got the opportunity to fulfill a dream and was allowed to work on “The Mandalorian” as my first project. This was followed by other big productions like Netflix’s Star Trek Discovery or Amazon’s Without Remorse.
As my experience grew, new opportunities came up more regularly, so that in early 2022 I was able to fulfill another dream and now work as a compositor at Industrial Light & Magic.
It was the visual effects of Jurassic Park that got me excited about the industry, and to now be a part of this team makes me incredibly happy and proud.
I can only recommend to every student or aspiring artist to stick to his/her dreams and goals and not to let them deter you. What others can do, you can do yourself!
