Bio
Philip Stoeckenius studied audio engineering at the SAE Institute in Stuttgart and musicology (focus: popular music studies) at the University of Vienna and the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, worked and presented on radio (bigFM) and TV (Tigerentenclub) and currently works in the academic field at the Institute for Popular Music in Vienna.
In addition to his academic work at the university, he runs the Antischlager Studio in Vienna. Under the stage name “Kaltenkirchen” he releases music that has a unique selling point in the German pop landscape due to its off-pop attitude and conceptual staging. As a songwriter, he also works for and with other artists (including Mine, Drangsal or Jasmin Wagner alias “Blümchen”) and writes songs for indie and major artists as an author in the music publishing company “Neubau Music Publishing” from Berlin.
