"Studying at SAE gave me a head start, working hands-on with the technology"

From Snoop Dogg to Prince and David Guetta, Mike applies his audio knowledge to the fine art of ensuring that all of the sound at live-events is as close to perfect for the artists performing and the listeners reveling. Working with the acoustic ranges at some of the globe’s most prestigious venues, as Final Director he is in charge of the production team at the time of the performance, managing teams of lighting technicians and video technicians, sound technicians and taking care of all of the technical requirements that the band needs for their live performance.

Mike’s studies spanned across two SAE Institute campuses, commencing in Barcelona and completing his final year in Amsterdam in Sound Engineering and Music production. However, his career actually started to take flight a few months before he even graduated when he was offered an internship by a group of former SAE graduates, one thing led to another as indeed it does in the industry if you’re keen and work hard, and the rest is history...

“Studying at SAE gave me a head start, working hands-on with the technology which I now use every day in my job. Without the SAE culture it would have been very difficult to stay up-to-date with the gadgets, hardware and software. If I had to give any advice to future students, it would be to keep as busy as possible. Network and get yourself out there because, as from my experience, that’s the way to do it.”
