SAE and Qantm
College Melbourne marked the merging of their two formerly separate
campuses on Thursday August 19, with a gala event to celebrate the
launch of the newly integrated campuses.
The
red carpet was rolled out, and the champagne and canapés continued late
into evening as SAE and Qantm Managers and staff, industry partners,
agents, and government officials met and mingled, and danced to the live
jazz band that was hired especially for the occasion.
SAE Melbourne Manager Paul
Ledingham, newly appointed Australian General Manager Zbys Klich and
President of SAE Tom Misner all gave well-received speeches throughout
the night, commenting on the excellent milestone achieved by the
formation of the new campus. Dr Misner said:
"I am extremely proud to see the new
Melbourne facility come to fruition. This campus is now one of the most
exceptional media campuses in Australia. It represents our commitment to
strive for excellence in education and looking around at the remarkable
equipment and facilities, it ensures that the essential elements of SAE
and Qantm courses remain practical-focused."
Throughout the night the impressed guests had the
privilege of touring the premises, which was formerly solely the
Melbourne SAE school. The newly
renovated campus has now extended almost double in size, encompassing
approximately 3000 square metres, and includes additional computer labs,
classrooms, studios and a brand new lecture theatre.
The following day classes resumed as per normal, although we're sure there were a few hurting heads about the campus. All worth it though, and a small price to pay for such a enjoyable event!
