Exhibitors, participants and organizers look back at a successful industry event: On October 13th and 14th more than 2,500 visitors came to Berlin in order to exchange experiences, network, gather information, and attend workshops at the seventh SAE Alumni Convention. The event has once again underscored its position as the most important meeting of the media industry. This event is where SAE students meet SAE Alumni as well as industry representatives and other media-interested people. During the first ever Frantic Friday non-cash prizes worth 21,000 Euros were given away, and the winners of this year’s SAE Alumni Awards in the categories: Music Production, Creativity First, Multimedia, Short Film as well as 3D FX Animation were also announced.

The Industry Looks Ahead

The positive atmosphere as well as the expectations of the participants, the news about innovative products, and the numerous workshops during the two day event showed how optimistically the media industry views the future. The range of possibilities, the professional fields, and job perspectives grow to the extent that technical developments continuously create new possibilities for presenting and communicating topics and contents. This is where the SAE Institute considers itself well-positioned, thanks to its’ more than 30 years of international experience as well as its’ international position, to offer valuable support in planning their education and careers to interested freshmen as well as new prospective employees.

Exhibitors Consider the Alumni Convention an Event that Must not be Missed

The exhibitors and partners of the SAE value this approach and also benefit themselves from the fact that the event enables them to reach the target audience of their messages. Accordingly, Udo Moellhoff, European Sales Manager for the SAE partner company Steinberg, is thrilled with the high level of respect the convention holds within the industry, "For us the SAE Alumni Convention 2011 was a full success and this year again, we could track a clear increase in the numbers of visitors and trade press.“ Moellhoff continued, “This year for the first time we consciously used the event to introduce new hardware products to the German public, and we are very happy with the feedback we have received. For the recording industry the SAE Alumni Convention has become an event that must not be missed."
