Workshop: Vlog Your Way To Filmmaking
Filmmaking comes in many shapes and sizes. While vlogging has often been seen as a lesser medium, it has, in fact, enabled many filmmakers to create vibrant portfolios and build their way into a successful career in filmmaking - think Casey Neistat. In this beginning-level workshop, we demystify vlogging, give you the tools to get started and show you how vlogging boosts your filmmaking craft.
- 19.00 - 20.30 Workshop
- 20.30 - 22.00 Discussion & 'Borrel'
Participants are required to bring a pen & paper or laptop; and a smartphone with a camera - smartphone tripod recommended but not mandatory. Participants are advised to bring ideas of possible vlogs to the workshop.
Cintia Taylor Bio
Cíntia Taylor is a writer, journalist, and filmmaker, who joined SAE as a freelancer in 2011. Her passion for storytelling has led her to work with international media such as BBC, The Daily Beast, Monocle, France24 and with filmmakers such as Gouden Kalf winner Rudolf van Berg. She is currently working on several projects ranging from documentaries to fiction films and theatre plays. Her latest film, Clinch, focuses on healing after sexual violence. It has been considered the first post #MeToo film in The Netherlands and is due to premiere beginning 2020.
