Workshop: Experimental Sound Design / Sampling
This workshop starts with a presentation on music sampling, techniques and the creative approach to sound design. Moreover, there will be a demonstration on how to sample sounds form an existing audio recording and incorporate it into a new piece of music and/or enhance existing recording to sound more appealing. The workshop is given by SAE Instructor Giacomo Piscitelli and will be in Abelton.
Visitors are required to bring their laptop/DAW and headphones (a limited amount of headphones will be supplied). The techniques covered in the workshop are easily applicable to any DAW.
In the second part of the workshop, the participants will have a chance to apply the learned sampling techniques and create their own sounds and finally, a listening session of the work that has been created.
