Lorenzo Burgio is an Italian drummer, music producer and audio engineer specialising in immersive and spatial audio. His work blends performance, production and cutting-edge sound design, bridging creative expression with technical precision.

After touring extensively across Italy and Europe, Lorenzo relocated to the UK to expand his practice within the global music and audio industries.

Industry Practice

A Dolby Atmos–certified mixing engineer, Lorenzo collaborates with international artists, filmmakers and fashion brands to create immersive audio experiences. His work spans music production, spatial sound design and cinematic mixing, across both studio and commercial projects.

He operates from his own London studio, Octopus Garden, delivering stereo and immersive mixes for clients across the UK and Europe. Alongside this, he freelances at leading commercial studios across London.

Performance And Production

As a performer, Lorenzo tours internationally as a drummer and music director with bands from the London scene, while also producing pop, experimental, electronic and cinematic music for a wide range of projects.

He holds a BA in Creative Musicianship (BIMM London), an MMus in Sonic Arts (Goldsmiths, University of London), as well as a FHEA and PGCert in Teaching and Learning.

Guiding Audio Professionals

Alongside his creative practice, Lorenzo is a dedicated lecturer, teaching music production and audio engineering across several London universities. His teaching is shaped by real-world workflows, immersive audio innovation and professional studio practice.
