20 Feb

We understand choosing where you're going to spend the next few years studying is a big decision. So we want to invite you to a free workshop where you’ll see why our vibrant Glasgow campus is somewhere you can feel right at home. Theses workshops, aimed at applicants and students who know exactly what course they want to study, allow you to spend time in your department and see first-hand experience.

Course: Audio and Digital Film Production

Short overview:

Audio Production

The focus of this session is to provide prospective students with an insight into mastering music for online streaming services. During the session we will look into what makes mastering for online streaming different from cd and vinyl mastering.

We will also look into some of the implications surrounding loudness and how will affect your music when uploaded to streaming services. We will then master a song in the Neve studio from start to finish.

Facilitator for the evening: Orvar Thorvaldsson

Digital Film Production

Our Film taster session will give you a chance to explore the Film course content and view some of the industry standard equipment we have to offer. That will be followed by an introduction to the basics of screenwriting and the chance to walk away with your very own short script.

Facilitator for the evening: Paul Mackie
