Meet the Pros: Carlos van Erven
Being an A&R means discovering and nurturing talent. Multiple skills are required to become successful at the job, but it’s difficult. What is the real path to go from a passion to managing a team of talent scouts for one of the most important labels of all time? In this Masterclass, Carlos van Erven, A&R manager for SONY NL, will talk about his professional development, his relationship with music, and how to scout talent for a major label.
Join us and be an SAE student for a day on our campus for this special event. But don’t worry if you cannot make it, the event will be streamed on Zoom as well.
He will be interviewed by our Electronic Music Production Coordinator, Joost Stuursma, and our Music Business Certificate Coordinator, Ewout van der Linde in order to discuss Carlos’ career from both the production and business side.
