SAE CLEARING HOTLINE: 03330 112 315
If you still haven't got a place at university following the UCAS application deadline, or if you miss your grades on Results Day, don't panic!
Each year, more than 50,000 students find themselves in Clearing and our experts will be on hand on the day to provide plenty of help.
In the meantime, here’s our top tips for Clearing:
MAKE SURE YOU'RE PREPARED
Clearing can be stressful time, even for the most chilled out students. Make sure you are commitment-free on Results Day, so you can spend plenty of time exploring your options and talking them through.
BOOKMARK YOUR FAVOURITE CHOICES
It’s always a good idea to plan ahead by bookmarking your favourite universities, and any courses that take your fancy.
HAVE YOUR DETAILS READY
There will probably be a lot going through your head on the day so try and get all your information onto the one document and save yourself getting flustered mid-conversation. Here are a few to include:
- your contact details
- your UCAS personal number (if you have one)
- your A-level, AS-level and GCSE results
- your personal statement
MAKE THE CALL
Don’t ask your mum and dad to make the call for you - unis want to hear from the person committed to doing the course. You can call our clearing hotline on 03330 112 315, and we promise our experts will be more than happy to discuss your options.
MAKES NOTES DURING THE CALL
Have a pen and paper at the hand to write down any notes as you go. Amid all the anxiety, you may forget some key information or instructions.
TRY AND VISIT THE CAMPUS
A good way to ensure a university or institute is the right place for you is to get along to their campus. SAE will be holding Clearing Open Days on the 18th of August for you to do just that.
CONFIRM YOUR OFFER
Once you’ve been offered a place, you’ll need to confirm it. You can do this from 3pm onwards on Results Day.
TELL YOUR FRIENDS
The best part of the day - you’ve got a place! Get on social and spread the exciting news about where you’ll be spending the next chapter of your life.
