Nat Powers - Music 101: Staying sane in the music business

    Nat Powers is a British song writer, record producer and poet who has worked with hip-hop figures such as Darryl McDaniels of Run DMC, Spice One and with a majority of the iconic Death Row Records roster. He was mentored by multi-platinum rapper and producer Sam Sneed. He has also been co-mentored by musician Leroy Burgess of the 1970s R& B group Black Ivory, who himself was mentored by Stevie Wonder when he was rising to fame.

    Nat has also worked with members of Wu Tang Clan, D Double E, Giggs, Skepta, Footsie, Maxi Priest, Capleton, Konshens, Professor Green, Luniz, Dizzee Rascal’s label and many others. Nat works across the global music industry, with active work and interests across Europe, USA, Africa and Asia. Nat is currently setting up a new music production company based in the UK and USA, and plans to expand it into an independent label in the near future.

    He is also currently writing material for Selena Gomez, Universal Records, Epic Records and playing an integral role in the Grime music scene.
