AUDIO FOR GAMES
With the global gaming industry now bigger than Hollywood, the demand for quality sound to match stimulating visual effects has never been greater.
This hands-on course prepares you for the industry, by covering all facets of sound design and sound engineering that is relevant to games. Concentrating on advanced sound techniques, digital composition and voice recording, you will gain a solid grounding in how to produce content for interactive and 3D environments.
You will graduate this short introductory course with a certificate and a showreel of your compositions.

WHAT YOU'LL LEARN
By the end of the course you should be able to:
- Record sound effects and create original sound design for 3D platforms
- Compose and edit music for immersive environments
- Work with game engines and software packages including FMOD and Unity
- Understand the game development and design process
WHO SHOULD ATTEND
This course is ideal for anyone who has had some exposure to audio engineering and development, and would like to apply their skills to immersive environments. It is highly recommended for students who want to apply for further study in audio or games.
FOLLOW UP COURSES
You should bring a notebook and pen to classes. You may also wish to bring your own laptop or tablet, however, this is not necessary.
