Over 60 graduates from SAE Institute
centres across Europe attended the Graduation Ceremony at Middlesex
University, London in July.
The graduates were the latest cohort
of students completing the Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree programme
since SAE entered a collaborative teaching partnership with Middlesex in
1998.
To celebrate their success, a special after-graduation
event was organised. Patrick Phillips, Director of Programmes - Media
Arts at Middlesex, welcomed the students to the Hendon campus and
congratulated graduates on their achievement.
The recent
graduates and their families also had the opportunity to listen to SAE’s
guest speaker, Professor Michael Bridger, who gave an inspiring speech
about the wider world of creative development media. In particular,
Professor Bridger highlighted the idea of ‘’connecting’’ and how it may
become a vital tool toward life and work success.
“Making always
involves connecting and there is nearly always a social connection with
others in the process of making".
“Through making and sharing, we
increase our connection with our society and our physical environment”,
he said.
Deputy Vice-Chancellor International, Terry Butland,
who also attended the event, commented: "The partnership between
Middlesex and SAE Institute has been a success for more than 10 years - I
hope it will continue to flourish”.
