Serbia, Belgrade, August 4th 2010: SAE Institute announced plans today to expand its already impressive network of international campuses into Serbia, with a campus in Belgrade. The new school will join the ranks of the 56 other key cities in which SAE Institute currently operates, including London, New York, Berlin, Munich, Paris, Milan, Istanbul, Madrid, Athens, Sydney, Dubai, Los Angeles and Singapore.
The opening of SAE Belgrade will utilise SAE Institute’s impressive 34 years of international education experience and its 25 country reach, to position Belgrade as a regional hub for digital and new media education across the fields of audio engineering, film making, multimedia, web development and digital animation.
The new campus will boast state-of-the-art facilities and equipment, a contemporary practical curriculum and industry-experienced lecturers aimed at providing students from Serbia and neighbouring countries with a world class standard in creative media, and an unrivalled start to a career in media or communications.
SAE Belgrade will offer a range of full and part time certificate, diploma and degree courses (degrees to be accredited by Middlesex University London) across four learning streams, as the new school builds to full operational capacity.
Romy Hawatt, the SAE Group’s Senior Executive said: “The positioning of the latest SAE campus in Belgrade offers both a unique opportunity and a practical challenge as we set out to promote our special brand of creative and new media education to Serbia and the surrounding region. The advancement of any community is rooted in the standard, availability and quality of its education system and this surely compounds into practical benefits in society generally. It is our sincere belief that our presence in Serbia and the graduates that we will produce can help raise the standard of the media industry whilst simultaneously building good-will between Serbia and its surrounding neighbours.”
The official opening of SAE Belgrade is currently scheduled for September to coincide with the first projected student intake.
“There has been huge growth in the multimedia industry in this region and the demand for high-quality creative media courses such as the ones offered at SAE is clearly on the rise. We are thrilled to bring SAE Institute to Serbia for the first time and we look forward to welcoming our first students,” added Edward Tonchew, Institute Director at SAE Institute Belgrade.
